Lisa Krishnamurthy

Dr. Lisa C. Krishnamurthy is a translational MR physicist and bioengineer focused on advanced neuroimaging of cerebrovascular disease and stroke recovery. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine and a Principal Investigator at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. As Co-Director of the B.I.G. Stroke Imaging Group, she develops MRI-based biomarkers to characterize tissue metabolism and viability after brain injury using advanced techniques such as TIGR MRI. Dr. Krishnamurthy serves as the Emory University site-PI for CADASIL data collection efforts. Her research is supported by VA Merit Awards, DOW TERP awards, and an American Heart Association Early Faculty Award.
